Yet another holiday classic with a very delicious twist. Instead of a kiss, a peanut butter heart. These cookies were to die for.

1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp milk
1 tsp Vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Granulated Sugar
Heart-Shaped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

1. Preheat oven to 375°degrees. Unwrap peanut butter cups.

2. Beat shortening and peanut butter until well-blended. Add sugars and beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk, and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture.

3. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet.

4. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press a peanut butter cup into center of each cookie; cookie will crack around edges. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.

Makes about 4 dozen.
